The Illinois Council of Chapters is an affiliate of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).
MOAA and its affiliated councils and chapters are non-partisan.
In response to changing demographics and to better connect all the MOAA members living in Illinois with regional Chapters, the respective Chapter presidents recently reorganized Illinois into four regional MOAA chapters that meet and serve their geographic regions.
Each Chapter sets its own meeting schedule according to their membership needs. Meetings often include informational presentations along with service-related camaraderie, and Chapter, Council, or National business. Local Chapters engage in support of ROTC and JROTC programs, community outreach especially those helping veterans, and fund raising for local and national scholarships.

As the Illinois Chapters realign to their new regions, structured and unstructured satellites will be established in outlying areas.
